There is a special part of the parking lot near Hohnsensee that is specifically designated for recreation. It has a park, lawns, and playgrounds. It is conveniently located near the downtown area, which can be reached in just 5 minutes by bike. There is also a restaurant and beach bar nearby. Please note that the maximum stay is 2 nights. The first row of the parking lot is reserved only for cars, while the second row can accommodate a total of 5 campers.
Thank you so much to the city for providing a free place to stay! It's rare to find such generosity, especially with such a beautiful view of the lake. I will definitely come back! The night was peaceful, and as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe.
This place initially seems nice if you're in the front row with a view of the lake. However, it's very crowded. In the evening, there are strange individuals hanging around by the lake. We ended up leaving in the evening and found a peaceful spot in the woods where we could sleep undisturbed.
