Located on the banks of the Rhône, Avignon is a medieval city that holds UNESCO World Heritage status. Situated on Barthelasse Island, the campsite offers a beautiful view of the Palais des Papes and the famous Pont d'Avignon. As the gateway to the French theater capital, you can conveniently access the town center with a free river shuttle from the campsite.
Our campground near Avignon is in a great location and offers a convenient free ferry service to the town every 15 minutes. The campground has spacious plots with plenty of shade, and features a lovely pool and bar area. The staff are excellent, although the limited number of toilets in each block can sometimes lead to queues. Despite this, we highly recommend a stay at our campground.
There is a nice camping site near Avignon, ideal for visiting the city. Although it can be a bit noisy, it offers the convenience of a ferry ride to the city.
