This campsite offers a beautiful view and basic amenities including a shower and toilet. However, access to the kitchen is not available to campers as it is reserved for guests staying in the lodge.
We were not aware that payment is required at the tourist center in Klaksvik, which means there is no access to the kitchen or heating. However, the showers and toilets are free and in good condition. The camping area is also quite suitable for setting up tents.
Kalsoy offers a convenient overnight stay for visitors who have walked to the lighthouse. To book a spot, we recommend visiting the information office in Klaksvik. The campsite has a level area next to a small football pitch. There are three heated bathroom cubicles, but only one shower is operational. Electricity is available in a box near the garbage bins. The dump can be located through a pink pipe near the camp kitchen, which is currently closed. Make sure to take a walk to Mikladalur, particularly to see the Seal Woman attraction.
