To reach the location, take the main road, then drive on a rough dirt road towards the launch area. The path improves further on. The spot is calm but is a dead end with room for two vans, easy to turn around. Suitable for Water activities. Be aware of noise from the nearby highway and trains passing by occasionally.
There was a feeling of insecurity at night. Some cars passing by slowly seemed to be watching the surroundings. One particular car made us nervous as it stayed for a long time with its headlights on, seemingly checking if anyone was in the van. We decided to leave at 10:30 pm as we couldn't have peacefully fallen asleep.
Stayed overnight by the lake: small spot between the boat ramp parking and end of the road. Convenient stop near the highway exit. Train passing nearby but silent during the night (from 11 pm to 7:30 am for us!). Highway noise is present but not bothersome. Quiet area with friendly people around.
