This campground is situated right next to Diemelsee, with only a shore path separating it from the lake. It is dog-friendly and has a clean and well-maintained sanitary building. Amenities include a restaurant, kiosk, gas cylinder rental, and a playground on the beach. There is also a washing machine and dryer available, and boat rental is conveniently located nearby. An indoor pool is also nearby for campers to enjoy.
The campground is undergoing changes, with permanent campers having to vacate their spaces. However, this did not affect our stay. Initially planning to stay for only one night, we ended up staying for 5 nights. The price of 29.20€ for one night, including a camper van, two adults, one dog, and a tourist card, was reasonable for the area around Diemselsee. We will definitely return.
Great location, friendly people, short distance to the lake, you can buy fishing permits directly for 14 euros per day. The place is very clean and a bread delivery service is available at 8:15 am. Shower tokens are required and there is a tourist tax of 2 euros per day with the Sauerland Card. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained, although they may appear slightly outdated. There is a waste disposal station and water needs to be fetched using watering cans or containers.
