This rest area is conveniently located on Highway 9, only a short 20-minute drive from the Kristiansand ferry. It offers a well-maintained spot to take a break, with access to a lake, garbage cans, and several tables with benches. It's a great place to stop, especially if you're arriving from the ferry at night when the road is less busy.
There is a convenient rest area by the road with a view of a lake. We arrived late and had the place to ourselves. It was very quiet at night, but in the morning when the rush hour started, the traffic became heavy and woke us up multiple times. Overall, it served its purpose for a one-night stay.
This place may not be the top choice, but it could be used as an option for an overnight stay in case of necessity. However, we decided to continue our journey and did not stay there.
