There is a campsite located at the sports field, situated right by the Saale river. It offers amenities such as a boat dock, a rafting museum, and a sanitary building within the athletes' home. Electricity is available on-site, but it needs to be activated by the staff. In 2020, a new operator took over, and registration can now be done by phone through the information board at the campsite entrance. Access to the campsite is free, and you can choose whether or not to use electricity. Payment arrangements can be made with the staff. The campsite also provides benches and tables similar to a picnic area. Please note that there are no disposal facilities available.
There is a new operator and therefore different prices apply. The price for adults is 8 euros and for children it is 6 euros. The cost for electricity is 5 euros per day. The price includes the use of the toilet and showers. There is one toilet and two showers available. There is no waste disposal service. Drinking water is available upon request.
Stayed here for one night. Facilities were complete with a clean shower and toilet. Located right by the river and approximately a 5-minute walk to the bakery. A forest swimming pool is also just 300 meters away. The staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.
