The campsite was unable to accommodate more bookings and there were signs indicating that it was full. However, upon inquiring at the reception based on reviews received, we were offered the option to stay in one of the three available pitches located near the main car park for Scafell Pike. The cost for one night without electric hook-up was £37. The showers were satisfactory, providing hot water. A simple hairdryer was available in the shower block. There was only one washing machine available, and tokens could be purchased for £5 at the reception. Additionally, there were two tumble dryers, but only one of them was functional, at a rate of £1 for 20 minutes. There was no cellphone signal at the campsite.
