Voir
This lay-by is spacious and has both rocky and grassy areas. It offers a scenic view of the valley on both sides. Visitors may encounter friendly roaming animals here. Local people often park here to take walks to the river below or explore the valley. It is also used as an overnight spot. During the day, please be considerate and leave space for others. At night, choose a flat spot for parking. There is no cellular signal available, but there is a pub in Seathwaite, a couple of miles away to the south. Please note that it is recommended to enter from this side of the road, as the northern access involves steep mountain passes that may not be suitable for larger vans and motorhomes.

This is a serene night stop located in a natural setting. It can be reached by driving approximately 8 miles on a narrow road, although larger motorhomes may face difficulty due to limited passing areas. Please note that vehicles approaching from the North might encounter challenges as they pass through Wrynose or Hardknot pass. We kindly request visitors to be considerate of the local environment and leave the area in its original condition.
