There is a collapsed bridge located 50 meters parallel to a newly constructed road bridge. It is easily accessible for all vehicles and just a short distance away from a well-developed but underutilized road. Finding flat areas may be a bit challenging, although it is possible for a 6-meter van without the need for wedges. The bridge is situated right next to a river, which has a small weir and a waterfall. The view of the gorge from here is quite picturesque. Additionally, this location serves as the starting point for two hiking trails, which can be found 200 meters away across the river. One of these trails, known as the Monopati Railway Trail, is particularly spectacular. If you're interested in visiting Thermopylae, it is about 10 kilometers away from this spot. During our visit, we found that we were alone on the east side of the bridge both during the day and at night. There was very little garbage in the vicinity. On the west side of the bridge, there were a few deposits, and we noticed three or four cars parked there during the day. In the evening, a group of young people gathered there for about half an hour. However, at night, the only sounds we heard were the calming flow of the river and an owl hooting. (This information was observed on a Sunday in December).
The place itself is beautiful and the street is not very bothersome. However, two individuals in an old white Seat Ibiza attempted to steal from us, even though we were inside the bus! Shortly before, another car (a silver old Skoda Octavia) slowly passed by us in a suspicious manner. It seems that there may be gangs operating in this area. Avoid this place and always keep your doors locked when leaving your car, even for a moment.
Be cautious of thieves! Two individuals in a small car were observed suspiciously checking vehicles, despite our presence. When confronted, they remained unfazed and asked for food while pretending to take photos. It is advisable to leave the area.
