We parked the van at the entrance of the forest, following the no driving zone that is often overlooked. It is a wonderful and refreshing place, perfect for escaping the scorching heat by the seaside. We stayed here for two nights. Along the path inside the forest, in front of the former barracks, there is also a water spring.
