There is a small parking area located in Borovec pri Kočevski Reki.
On August 28, 2023, we had an amazing experience during our visit to a certain location. We encountered two local individuals who were incredibly friendly and provided us with assistance, such as jump-starting our vehicle in the morning. Moreover, there were various hiking trails available to explore in the surrounding area.
This place is fairly quiet, right next to the road but with very little traffic. You can start hiking from here. Make sure you bring your own toilet since there isn't one available. Keep the area clean, as there is a sheep pasture nearby. The few locals and the farmer are understanding about staying overnight. We stayed there for 2 nights.
