To reach Bahnhof Schwendi from Interlaken towards Grindelwald, drive about 1.5 km past the Burglauenen level crossing. Take a right turn to Bahnhof Schwendi. The parking area is just behind the bridge.
The host was friendly and provided wooden beams for leveling. The location offers great views but is somewhat expensive with no additional services. Public toilets at the train station were not clean. If you have your own toilet, the place is highly recommended.
The site was chosen because others were full. Pros include a friendly owner, good atmosphere, and close proximity to the station. Cons are sloped pitches, limited services, and high prices (70€ per night for a 6m van with two adults and two children). Payment is cash only, with no receipts provided.
