I passed by this location while cycling, but I parked my vehicle elsewhere. The spot appears to be lovely, peaceful, and practical. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to examine the access road, so I cannot confirm its condition.

There is ample parking space for a van in front of the closed monastery of Sant Onofrio. Please note that the access road is very narrow. This peaceful location in the mountains offers a tranquil night with cows roaming freely. It is a clean and isolated spot, ideal for nature enthusiasts. Look for signs directing you to the monastery or bike park at the foothills of Campodimele. Please be aware that there is no internet available at the site.

The journey to this place involves a steep ascent, but the road is paved throughout, with variable conditions. During the day, farmers pass by, while nights are generally peaceful. However, on the second night, we had a restless sleep due to a storm. There is no mobile service available in this area.
