There is a paid parking area available for up to 15 mobile homes on the outskirts of Polenz. The location offers mostly flat and partly shaded spots with gravel lawns. It is within walking distance of the city center and has nearby public transportation options. On-site amenities include a kiosk, snack bar, pool, fresh water, electricity, and dogs are allowed. The forest pool next to the parking area has a 50-meter swimming pool, separate non-swimmer area, paddling pool, and hosts barbecue evenings and cultural events. Admission is free. The city center has various dining options, and the Neustadthalle offers cultural and entertainment events. Nearby attractions include the gold and mineral adventure site Hohwald, which showcases gold prospecting in Upper Lusatia, and the German artificial flower show workshop in Sebnitz. The parking area is ideal for starting hikes, accessing the cycle path network, and exploring Saxon Switzerland. Payment is made to the operator, and amenities such as gray water disposal and WLAN are included in the room rate. Note that water is not available in winter, but the parking area can be used year-round.
This place is located next to the forest pool and offers access to electricity and water, although not at every spot. In the swimming season, you can enjoy free swimming in the pool. Please note that the restroom facilities may close when the staff is unavailable.
Had a good overnight stay on the way home. The manager was very friendly. Within a 5-minute walk, there was a good place to eat called Gasthof zum Erbgericht. It's a shame that the sanitary facilities were not available outside of the season.
