There is a parking space available under the olive trees near Volubilis for a fee of 30dh. Staying overnight at the archeological site is not allowed. Abdul Malik, a friendly and knowledgeable individual, can provide information about fossils, minerals (which he sells at affordable prices), and the local history. Additionally, he can prepare delicious berber tea or tajine upon request. No other services are offered.
We had a great stay at Abdul Malik's place. It felt like staying with a friend. He invited us to share tea for breaking the fast. He gave us helpful advice for sightseeing. In the evening, he offered our children some cakes. The entrance to the Volubilis site is just 300 meters away. We paid 50 dirhams per night and 120 dirhams for each delicious tajine he prepared for us (one with meat and one vegetarian). Thank you very much.
In the evening, a young man approached requesting 100 dirhams. Considering the size of our camper, we negotiated and paid him 50 dirhams. However, the next day we discovered he was not the rightful owner. It is advised to only do business with Abdul, who is the owner of the shop. Throughout the night, there was excessive barking from nearby dogs, which was quite disturbing.
