There is a lovely bivouac near Sapanta with flat ground and a well-equipped hut for dining. The campsite is conveniently located near a river, and there are other potential camping spots along the same river. There are two hiking trails starting from here, one leading to a 15 km hike to two waterfalls marked by red and blue signs. There is another longer trail that we did not explore. These details were obtained from the tourist office in Sighetu.

The night was peaceful with some car and tractor traffic, a few friendly stray dogs, and a generally calm atmosphere, although the area was not very clean.
