There is a parking area on one level near the forest and barbecue spot. From there, you can enjoy a lovely view of Stuttgart and Rotenberg. Please note that only vehicles weighing less than 3.5 tonnes are allowed to access this area.
We drove to this spot, and it's true that there's a beautiful view of Stuttgart and the surrounding area. However, we passed a sign for a nature reserve (no overnight camping!) on the way here, and shortly after, a sign that said the parking lot is only for cars. While I don't agree with all the signs, I usually respect them.
This place offers a beautiful view of the Grabkapelle, Stuttgart, and the vineyards. There are also BBQ areas available. Please note that parking is chargeable during daytime on weekends. During weekdays, there was only one other small camper present. However, it is likely to be more crowded on weekends, as evidenced by the abundance of toilet paper. If you do not have restroom facilities, it is recommended to consider staying at a designated campsite, otherwise, overnight stays here may soon be prohibited.
