This is a beautiful location with lots of nature and tranquility. However, during our visit, there was constant noise that sounded like gunshots, possibly from hunting. We couldn't determine the source, but it came from four different directions, including one near the dam. This went on from 7 am to 9 pm. It can be a scary place for dogs who are afraid of fireworks. Personal experience.
