This location is an ideal stop before or after visiting Rīga. Despite the sounds of city traffic and boats, it was not bothersome. There are some small shaded areas available. Expect a steady flow of visitors, especially on warm and sunny days. Most vehicles should be able to access the area, but watch out for rocks if you have a low-riding vehicle, as it may be more challenging after rainfall.
4x4 vehicles are not required in this location, which is idyllic. However, due to its popularity among anglers, there tends to be a fair amount of litter. There are a few picnic areas and various parking spots with small beaches. Please note that there are no toilet facilities available. During our visit, it was quite windy, so I would recommend choosing a spot on the grass to ensure that sand does not get blown around.
