This location is nice for the night, even though it is hilly. It can be busy during the day but is quiet at night. There is parking available for starting the hike to Frankenthal Lodge.

The parking lot is unpaved and located at the beginning of several hiking trails. It has a slight slope and does not have cell service. It gets busy with hikers in the morning but is usually empty by evening.
