There are 18 sites available at a marina, each equipped with picnic tables and barbecues. It is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the town center. The marina offers friendly WIFI and is situated near the Tourist Info office on a small square, which also has an ice kiosk.
The entire area around the marina can be reserved and paid for. All necessary services are available, such as waste disposal, showers, and laundry facilities (which require a reservation and payment of 30 SEK at the tourist office). The all-inclusive fee, including electricity, is 250 SEK. It is a nice place, although the road can be a bit noisy in the morning, it is quiet at night.
There are very nice and clean parking spaces available at the harbor, which were fully booked on October 1, 2020. The current price for a parking space is 200 SEK, which includes electricity and sanitary facilities. If all the spaces at the "Valdemarsvik Hamngatan 1" campground are occupied, don't worry, as the "Valdemarsvik Hamngatan 42" campground is just 100 meters away and belongs to the same area. Available spaces can be easily identified by green lights and can be booked online. After booking and payment, you will receive a confirmation email with an access code for the well-maintained and clean sanitary facilities. The exact online booking information is provided at each electrical outlet. Once the bookings are confirmed, the lights at the parking spaces turn red. There are five restaurants and a grocery store (ICA) open until 9:00 PM in the area.
