There are numerous camping spots along the river when coming from the Transalpina, but this particular place is our favorite! It can be easily accessed via a gravel road that even leads to Sibiu. We personally managed to reach it with our VW Crafter and had a great experience. The water from the river is safe to drink. If you're coming from Transalpina, make sure to explore this valley as it is the most beautiful part of Romania we have seen in our two-week trip. There is no cellular signal, even with an antenna. The last signal we had was at the top of Transalpina, and the next one is on the pass if you continue along the road. Don't forget to download the maps!
