Introducing a new campsite called "The Old Walnut Campground" located near Turda. This charming spot is surrounded by fruit trees, offering a tranquil setting. It is a basic campground perfect for tents and small caravans. Although it may be slightly challenging to locate, simply continue along the road until you spot a small green caravan sign, then make a right turn. The staff at this campground are incredibly friendly.

Beautiful terrain with cherry and walnut trees, clean and modern sanitary facilities with only two showers for 24 people (12 spots), causing quick cold showers (100-liter solar heating). It is possible to empty the toilets, but it is not very practical as it is located outside the campsite with no option to rinse the cassettes. There is no provision for emptying greywater. Friendly staff, but the equipment is lacking or non-functional (no greywater disposal), which needs improvement. Reasonable price of 75 lei including electricity, convenient for visiting the mines that close at 5 pm and staying overnight.

The owners are very friendly and speak excellent English and Dutch. They also understand German. The camping site and sanitary facilities are clean. The Wi-Fi network's range is not great. The surroundings of the camping site are not beautiful and can be noisy. However, the camping site itself is nice with well-maintained grass.
