The Pinar de Almorox parking area is where the 3,400 km route begins. It is a quiet place to spend the night but note that there are no services or water available. The parking area is also the starting point for a circular route of 3.4 km.
In March 2022, there is an open area with enough space for 7-10 cars. The garbage bins are overflowing, but the surroundings are worth it. If you go down the path that starts at the green pen, you can find a peaceful and secluded spot by the stream to spend the night. There are very few people around, especially during the day. It might be because of the time of year.
This location is conveniently situated near a road with regular bus service. There are a few spots available, but they may not be very level. The road has minimal traffic at night, making it suitable for a one-night stay. However, there is quite a bit of litter in the area.
