Please be aware that the main car park has height restrictions. Instead, continue on the road to the overflow car park, which is actually more pleasant. This is a fantastic spot for a stopover, offering wonderful cycling and walking opportunities. There are toilets available at the main car park, and the village nearby has pubs and shops to explore. It's a truly lovely place to visit.

This is a convenient place to stop if you have a two-day visit planned at Alton Towers. Just be cautious not to miss the turning after the main car park, as we did, because the other road becomes narrow. There is a bridge with a weight limit of 3 tonnes that you need to cross to reach the overflow car park. There are many dog walkers and cars from the cricket club, but they didn't bother us. We had a peaceful night's sleep here.

Convenient location near Alton Towers, only 10 minutes away. Avoid the main carpark and continue for about 100 meters to find an open area with a bin where you can park. Please note that the sports ground is not accessible at night as it is locked. Although the road has potholes, it is a peaceful area with plenty of walking opportunities.
