The parking lot itself is not very pleasant. There are very few straight spaces, hardly any shade, and a strong burnt trash odor. We would not choose to park here again.

Pheasant Forest is a local recreation area that offers picnic tables, a BBQ area, and a source of drinking water. It is located in a shady and cooler part of the forest, providing a pleasant escape from the sun. The area also has an enclosure where you can admire fallow deer and pheasants. There is a free parking lot with flat and shady spots for 3-5 campers, just a short distance from the entrance. The entry fee is 50 Lek per person. We stayed there for one night during our journey and found it to be a nice, quiet, and safe place.
