We were in a truck and had difficulty turning around as the field was closed off by a fence in July. It turns out it was actually a hiking trail. We ended up sleeping a little further down, next to a picnic table, but were visited by a forest ranger who informed us that camping was not allowed in this public forest. Overall, it was a disappointing experience with no scenic views.
