There is a small parking lot near a picnic area in the forest, about four times the size of the parking lot. The picnic area has three benches and one trash can, offering a lovely view. It is a nature reserve and there are no signs prohibiting camping. It takes approximately 15 minutes to reach from Frederikstad.
Ideal location for a night in the heart of nature. There is a beautiful viewpoint a little further along the path (pedestrian access only). The place is quite small, so it's best not to arrive too late. It is truly lovely, and we highly recommend it!
No comments mention the waste treatment plant across the bay, which emits a constant noise. There was also an unpleasant odor, although it is unclear if it was related. Otherwise, the location offers a peaceful atmosphere with picnic tables and a nearby walking path. There are also three small areas where 9 to 10 RVs can be parked consecutively.
