Muffys Platt Farm offers a campsite that is located on a functional farm. It is a good starting point for pleasant walks to two nearby villages. The campsite is conveniently situated just a short 10-minute walk from the beach.
It is advised to avoid this location for various reasons. Despite traveling a long distance with hungry children, upon arrival, we were informed that we were not allowed to use the water and facilities since our stay was only for one night. This policy was not mentioned during our prior phone conversation. Accessing facilities is an important aspect of paying extra for a site while traveling.
I stayed at a delightful farm last night while on my way to the Lake District. The views in the morning were absolutely breathtaking. Andrew, the owner, was extremely helpful and the fee charged was reasonable. The amenities provided included electric hook up and access to water. However, please note that the toilet and shower facilities were temporarily closed due to the current situation with Covid-19.
