Arrate sanctuary offers parking and a designated picnic area. This spacious spot is equipped with tables, bathrooms, barbecues, and a bar/restaurant. Additionally, there is a children's playground and an exit for mountain and mountain bike excursions.
This place is wonderful. We stayed here for two nights and it was a pleasant experience. There are several water fountains and clean toilets, although they appear to be old. The area is flat and easy to access by car, although it can be a bit steep at times, especially if you have a large vehicle like our 7 meter van. The locals are friendly and there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, running, and mountain biking. We would definitely consider returning in the future.
This area is a beautiful place to visit. It has a lot of greenery, plenty of tables, barbecues, and bathrooms. The monastery is very picturesque. The surroundings are generally quiet, although there is a shooting range nearby, which can be noisy. The monastery bells also ring at half and full hour. We had to leave because my dog is sensitive to the sounds of gunshots. It is a lovely place to visit.
