There is a parking area located at the entrance of multiple hiking trails in the beautiful Abruzzo National Park. From here, you can enjoy a scenic view of the mountains and experience the tranquility of the night.
There are many spacious and flat areas that are very peaceful. However, use caution when using maps to find your way there. The GPS navigator tried to make me go straight, which caused a big mess. I had to do a very long and dangerous reverse, damaging the van's bodywork with vegetation and overheating the clutch.
