The camping site near Herculaneum is great for visiting, as it's just a 15-minute walk away. It's quiet, clean, and the manager is very welcoming. We paid €34 for a one-night stay for two people.

Stay at Agricamping Stone Vesuvius, conveniently situated on the slopes of Vesuvius near the Herculaneum ruins. Explore nearby attractions like Naples, Pompeii, and Sorrento using the Circumvesuviana, just a 15-minute walk from the Camping. Easy access from the Ercolano Scavi motorway exit, with spacious pitches offering electricity and water connections. Enjoy the comfort of hot showers in the modern toilets.

The owners are very friendly and you can buy water, wine, and tomatoes there. There is a picnic area that is always cool and we really enjoyed it. It takes about half an hour to get to Naples by Circumvesuviana and it costs €2.20. You cannot buy a ticket at the nearby Ercolano miglio d'oro station. Unfortunately, the last train from Naples leaves at 21:47. We stayed at the campsite for 4 nights and would gladly come back. Toilet and shower facilities are free. From September onwards, the cost for a night is €20. The premises also feel very safe.
