The Leiekamper motorhome area, open since 2014, has seen increased popularity, particularly since the pandemic and the rise of domestic vacations. To meet the growing demand, the city is now seeking private property owners who have extra space and are willing to offer free parking for RVs on their land. These parking spaces do not have additional facilities, but provide a safe place for motorhome owners to spend the night, after consulting with the property owner.
