This is a camping site located in a rural area on a farmer's land. It offers basic amenities such as a toilet with a sink and a place to dispose of waste. Additional facilities, like a BBQ area and campfire, are currently being added. The ground is not completely flat, so leveling ramps are required. Situated in County Down, it provides beautiful views of the Mourning Mountains and surrounding countryside. There is no access to electricity. The campsite is known as Slieve Croob Camping.
Very picturesque self-service area. There are only sheep and cows on site :) Communication was done through email, and the staff was very friendly. The cost is £15 per night, and an additional £5 if you want to use the shower. There is a unisex toilet and shower with plenty of hot water, although there is no lighting. You can choose your spot on a large, slightly sloping field. Washing dishes must be done outdoors without warm water (bring good weather).
A shower option is now available for an additional cost of £5. This is our second stay and we found it to be very relaxing. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The surroundings are beautiful and it's a great place to wake up in.
