There is a hiking parking area located on A Road/Highway 275 at Hattenhain near Bad Schwalbach.
The parking area for hikers is conveniently located on a hill overlooking a clearing in the woods. The spaces are spacious enough for large vehicles, although some may be sloped. There are trash bins available. We had a peaceful night here right before a holiday.
This is a large, clean and not very crowded place with a beautiful view. There is a slight slope but it is still within an acceptable range. It can be seen from the main road and traffic noise can be heard, which is a downside. There is no shade in the afternoon when it's sunny.
