The "Boortree" campground in Rossnowlagh is a cozy spot located just 12 kilometers away from Donegal. It offers flat and spacious pitches for campers to set up their tents or park their vehicles. The campground takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness for its sanitary facilities.
This site is located within walking distance of the beach and is known for being clean and well-kept. The showers, however, have some room for improvement. The water pressure was not great and the water itself was cold during my visit. However, it seems that my son had used one of the showers earlier in the day and found it to be hot. It appears that I may have chosen an inconvenient time to use the showers.
This location is conveniently situated near the beach. There are a few pubs within walking distance along the coastline. However, it is important to be cautious of the tide, as it may not be possible to walk all the way at high tide. Keep in mind that some of the pitches are slightly uneven, so it would be wise to bring some ramps. The toilet and shower facilities are well-maintained and clean. However, the water pressure in the showers is not very strong. It's worth noting that during our visit, they had waived the charge for using the showers due to this issue.
This place is a great option for accommodation. Even without making a reservation, we were able to find plenty of available rooms. The staff at the reception was very helpful and accommodating. The atmosphere in the place was pleasant, and it was conveniently located near the beach. The facilities were clean, but it's worth mentioning that the showers didn't function optimally. They lacked power and required constant button tapping to keep them running smoothly. Despite this minor issue, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
