If you are planning to visit Athens and all its beautiful sites, there is a convenient campsite available. Reservation is necessary due to its popularity. Although it is located close to a busy road, it provides easy access to the city. The campsite is particularly suitable for those who wish to explore Athens, as the 15 bus stops right in front of it.
The campsite itself is spacious and well-maintained, but apart from that, there aren't many positives. The noise from the nearby road is quite loud, giving the feeling of being located next to a highway. The Wi-Fi is only accessible near the reception area, which is inconvenient. The price is surprisingly high, at 60 euros for one night with a camper van and a family of two adults and three children aged 12, 8, and 3. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
There is a campground close to the center of Athens that offers convenient loading and unloading facilities. The services provided are exceptionally clean, and there are complimentary heated showers available. The owners are strict about enforcing rules, but they are also very helpful if you need assistance. The cost for staying overnight with a camper and two people is 30€ without access to electricity. If you require electricity, there is an additional fee.
We called in advance and were informed that they do not allow visitors with self-converted vans, which is disappointing for us as we had plans to visit Athens.
