We had a pleasant experience staying at a roadside location. A ranger came by to check the car park later in the evening but did not ask us any questions. However, there were some midges in the area that you should be aware of. Another camper joined us later, but the space was only suitable for two extra large vans.
There is a bigger parking area further down the road, where multiple cars or campervans can park. We stayed there for three nights without any issues. However, it can get busy on weekends and in good weather. The view is fantastic and it's a beautiful area for hiking. There are no facilities or phone reception available.
The area is serene, with many people walking during the day. However, at night, there are no people around. The road leading to the location can be slippery due to ice, so it is advisable to visit during the summer. There is no cellphone reception, but the views are breathtaking.
