The campsite is clean and well-maintained, offering waterfront locations. The site is small yet comfortable with clean facilities. The Halbendorfer See is a lovely lake for swimming. There are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby.
The location of the place is great as it is right by the lake and has an additional enclosed dog beach. We stayed for one night with our rooftop tent and two dogs. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. There is a bakery on site and the shower requires 1€ tokens. However, during our stay, there was a large family next to us whose children were running around and playing loud music until 11 p.m. So, it is advisable to visit outside of holiday periods.
The campsite had good reception and plenty of parking spaces to choose from. The restroom facilities were sufficient and there was access to the nearby lake. The showers required 1€ for 4 minutes, although I think they might have been shorter. Unfortunately, we had some late-night disturbance from teenagers who set up next to us and played loud music. We were unsure if they were allowed to be there, as they did not have a gate key. The Rakotz Bridge nearby is definitely worth a visit.
