This parking area is suitable for two small vans and offers a beautiful view of the valley, including the Strasbourg Cathedral. It is surrounded by vineyards, but please note that the road to reach it is very steep. The parking area is small but nearly flat, and amenities such as picnic tables, a barbecue, a shelter, and a toilet are available on site.
Great view and beautiful sunset on a clear day. The people here are tolerant, as long as it's not during the wine harvest. We visited in April. However, the road is unsuitable for campervans larger than a VW Bus, so it's better not to drive on it. I would recommend Bühl as a starting point for hiking and cycling.
The view was indeed breathtaking, and I witnessed a beautiful sunset. The police passed by without saying anything. Later, two locals also approached me and advised against sleeping there, as it is not a safe place and there could be unsavory characters. I now understand why the police were present. Consequently, I decided to find another place to sleep.
