The Trail Park and Picnic Area, managed by The National Forest, is a wonderful spot to visit. I personally enjoyed camping here twice without any issues. However, it is important to note that the parking lot can become quite busy in the mornings, as it tends to fill up with hikers.
This location offers a peaceful and tranquil environment, particularly at night with the presence of owls. The car park is spacious and mostly flat, covered in gravel, and provides numerous picnic tables and bins. There is a delightful walk through the woods, and a small pond. It is also a dog-friendly area. However, the mobile signal strength is weak.
The location was peaceful and secluded, with minimal activity. There was only one other van parked nearby, and a few cars passed by at night. Since I stayed during a weeknight, there was only one person walking their dog in the morning. However, it's important to note that there was limited to no phone service on O2 network.
