There is a picnic area near the road, close to the Picacho trail recreation area. It may not be easily accessible and lacks flat space. We spent a peaceful summer night there in August, although in the morning we saw some cyclists and motorcyclists passing by. It's a decent spot for an overnight stay and for exploring Mt. Picacho.
