Auchinstarry Quarry car park is conveniently located near the B802 and A803 roads, as well as junction 7 of the M80. Lidl supermarket is within walking distance. There are several walking and biking trails, as well as nearby canal routes. Antoine Walk, a UNESCO site, offers beautiful scenery. Additionally, there is a Roman fort in the area. The park and ride in Croy is just one mile away, providing direct trains to Glasgow in just 15 minutes.
This location could be a good place to stay if we overlook the presence of noisy children playing until 8pm, the litter everywhere, and the noise of passing cars. However, we managed to sleep well because we had earplugs and there were fewer cars at night.
This parking lot offers ample space and a large children's play area. There is also a lake nearby where you can see ducks. Please note that due to the nearby road, there may be some noise. Despite this, it is still a wonderful place to park.
