This location is situated by a wooden church atop a mountain, surrounded by nature and free-roaming cows. It is close to a village that appears to be from medieval times, where a small number of elderly residents still live. There is a strong 4G signal from Digi Romania and decent signal from Vodafone. A church keeper sells local products, and occasionally pies are sold by elderly women from the area, mostly on weekends. Water can be found down the main road, in a curve. The road leading up to the spot is paved and accessible for large motorhomes, including those with a size of 7 meters. The road to Scarisoara glacier cave, on both the right and left sides, is also accessible, although the left side road is very steep.

Poiana Calineasa is a picturesque location with breathtaking views of the valley below. We stayed overnight in the church parking area, although temperatures can be chilly even during summer. Basic restroom facilities are available, and you can find the WiFi password inside the church (don't forget to leave a small tip as a gesture of appreciation). Kids will enjoy the vast expanses of land where they can freely explore and observe cows.
