There is a lay-by located on the A65 just outside Hellifield. It is a convenient spot for parking and walking into the village. There is a chip shop open, and two pubs are expected to open soon (as of June 2020). There is also a picnic area available, and it remains to be seen if the sandwich van will return.

The location does not have any amenities, but there is a decent signal for communication. It is conveniently located for walking into the village. However, it is worth noting that we were the only ones present on a Saturday night. There is some noticeable noise from the nearby road.
