The picnic area has a playground, making it a great spot for outdoor recreation. There are lovely areas on either side of the river, and you can embark on marked hiking trails from here. While the tavern is closed during certain times, it's still worth exploring the surrounding streets when it rains. Remember to keep the area clean for everyone to enjoy.
Nice spot with plenty of parking spaces. Good mountain water and trash bins available. There were some stray dogs, but they were all friendly. Some locals came for picnics and camping, but the area is so spacious that you hardly notice. We had a very peaceful night. Only the next evening, a few suspicious men arrived, so we decided to move on.
In July, the river runs dry as water is diverted for irrigation. However, the area remains accessible and relatively peaceful with a drinking water source nearby.
