Esplanade next to a river beach and picnic tables

The location may be suitable for a day picnic due to its spacious parking area. However, our experience sleeping there was unpleasant. We arrived late in the evening to find the surroundings unsettling, with large industrial buildings and a nearby train. Despite only two other campers being present, we hesitated to stay due to two cars coming and going on a dead-end road after midnight. This situation made us feel uneasy and kept us on high alert throughout the night. Additionally, there was a significant mosquito population present.

The area is very peaceful and has picnic areas, barbecues, showers, and drinking fountains. However, when we visited, there was a sign advising against swimming in the river beach due to water quality concerns.
