It is located next to a rarely traveled road, near the village of Tirig.

We wanted to sleep near the museum but security asked us to move. We found another quiet spot for the night with a nice view of the stars, though we could see prison lights. It was very windy, making it a bumpy night. Good spot, but not ideal in high winds.
