Located on a hilltop, this place offers some flat areas at the start of a gravel road and another almost flat space near a small "chapel". Surrounded by nature, you can enjoy a pleasant view. It is a tranquil spot, not too far from Meteora. I suggest this location as an alternative for those unable to access the picnic area. Here, you can find peace away from the tourist crowds. Please note that there are no services available, but the natural surroundings are beautiful and well-maintained. Additionally, a fire place is provided for grilling purposes.
We spent two days in a lovely place with a great hiking trail called Meteora Trail Run (MTR). The trail is easy to find - just look out for the red and white signs. However, we had an uncomfortable encounter with someone named Dimitrios, so we decided to leave.
Upon our arrival, we noticed Dimitri the shepherd with his red van in the middle. He kindly moved his vehicle to make space for us and positioned himself just below us. After considering the comments, we made a U-turn, along with two other vehicles, to continue our journey a bit further.
